Eagle award for project

Ryan Anderson, son of Thomas and Cathleen Anderson of Boardman, received his Eagle Scout Award at a recent court-of-honor ceremony at Boardman United Methodist Church.

He is a member of Troop 46 that meets at the church, and his scoutmaster is Eric Grabman. Ryan joined the troop in 2004 after receiving the Arrow of Light from Cub Scout Pack 114 of St. Charles Church, Boardman.

He has since earned 25 merit badges and the Ad Altare Dei religious award for Catholic Scouting.

His Eagle Scout service project was organizing the landscaping of a playground area at the Masters Pavilion in Boardman Park. Ryan is a junior at Boardman High School, where he is a member of the band and orchestra. He also is a member of the junior-class executive committee. He is a member of St. Charles Church, where he is an altar server and Life Teen member.
