No school fun will include 1‚Ñ2 price days from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. through Jan. 4. All activities are $2.50. There will be a Late Night Skate tonight from 8 p.m. to midnight and New Year’s Eve fun on Thursday from 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. The skate center offers golf, skating, bumper cars, webcity, arcade, rock climbing, blades and laser tag. During the holiday seasons guests will receive a coupon for a buy one get one free movie at U.S.A. Cinema in Niles valid for up to six admissions until Jan. 1.

Youngstown Skate

Youngstown Skate is offering $5 entrance price and $3 skate rental today and Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. On Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. admission will be $2 and skate rental $3. A free skate will be offered Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. Children are also invited to attend a daytime New Year’s Eve party on Thursday from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. Hats, horns and confetti will be passed out at 3 p.m. Admission is $2 and skate rentals are $3.

Ice Zone

Ice Zone is hosting Holiday Hockey. The cost $8 a session and includes a short warm-up followed by 3x3 games or scrimmages. The first two goalies to show up will get in free. Learn to Play, Mites and Squirts sessions will be Today 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m., Monday and Wednesday 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Jan. 2 from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Peewee, Bantam and Midget sessions will be today at 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday and Wednesday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 a.m. and Jan. 2 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Public skating is also available every day during the school break at 1 p.m. to 4:15 p.m., 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. The admission price is $7 for adults and $5 for seniors and students. Skate rentals are $4.

Bazooka Ball Blast

The Bazooka Ball Blast is offering two games for $10 during the holiday break. Bazooka’s hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sundays 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Gem mining at the Bazooka Mine is available for $5 for a red bag and $6.50 for a blue bag. Pit Stop Challenge is one game for $2 or three games for $5.

Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel [PG] opened on Wednesday and will play everyday through break at 2 p.m., 4:20 p.m., 6:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. Sherlock Holmes [PG-13] opened Christmas day and will run at 1 p.m., 4 p.m., 7 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. at the Austintown theater. The YMCA is providing an Off School Camp for for children age six to 13 on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp features gym activities, educational activities, swimming, arts and crafts and a trip to Youngstown State University’s Planetarium. The fees for this year’s camp are $25 for members per day and $35 for nonmembers per day. Campers should bring swimming attire, towel, gym shoes,lunch, snacks and drinks. The facilities include a lighted sledding area, a hobbit hill for children 48 inches and under, outdoor warming area with seating and wind shield, snow making machine and an indoor house with seating, fireplace, snack bar and vending machines.
