Students at Poland North Elementary were surprised by a Radio Disney dance party hosted by Disney deejay Jag Dec. 11. The school won the event for its high participation this fall in Radio Disney’s “Move it!” School Challenge.

The program was sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Ohio and Radio Disney to help build healthy habits while competing against other schools for the chance to win new gym equipment and dance parties.

Nearly 300 Ohio schools signed up for the challenge and more than 47,000 students participated. Poland North was one of 20 schools that won a party.

Principal Mike Masucci said his students had no idea about the party; they thought they were going to see a movie about fitness. They were surprised when the curtain opened and Disney Radio personality Jag took center stage. The students and staff enjoyed the dance party for over an hour.
