Assault: A man reported his 11-year-old son had been assaulted on a township school bus.

Theft/criminal mischief: Someone broke a car window in the 7400 block of Market Street, then took a briefcase as well as business and personal checks.

Theft/forgery: A Boardman man alleged his son stole and forged some of the accuser’s personal checks.

Theft/criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 7300 block of Market Street was broken into. Stolen were an amplifier, two 12-inch speakers, a cell phone, a laptop computer and a video game, for an estimated $2,300 loss.

Theft/criminal damaging: A laptop computer, an MP3 player and a checkbook were removed from a car someone had entered in the 7400 block of South Avenue.

Theft: Jessica S. Chapman, 30, of 114 Thompson Ave., East Liverpool, was charged in the theft of $142 worth of clothing from Macy’s in the Southern Park Mall.

Theft: A woman’s purse was taken from a vehicle at a Market Str. store.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 100 block of Lemans Drive. A 42-inch TV and 12 DVDs were stolen.

Auto theft: A 2001 Ford Windstar was stolen in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Assault: A 17-year-old township boy was charged with assaulting a fellow student at Boardman High School, 7777 Glenwood Ave., and released to the custody of his mother.

Theft: Struthers police handed 37-year-old Robert F. Petrovich Jr., 415 Fifth St., Struthers, to Boardman authorities. He faced a felony count after an employee with Four Wheels Cars, 5925 South Ave., alleged Petrovich had stolen from the business by failing to turn over several deposits taken on vehicles.

Arson: Police responded to a residence in the 7100 block of Glendale Avenue, where, they said, a woman admitted to firefighters she had poured transmission fluid on a door, placed rags in the keyhole and lighted it.

Theft: A 15-year-old New Castle, Pa., boy was charged with stealing a $10 DVD from Best Buy, 561 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Authorities charged Kevin Hopes, 24, of 255 E. Judson Ave., Youngstown. He was accused of taking two DVDs from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Theft: Savannah Major, 25, of 331 E. Park Ave., Niles, was charged in the theft of nine articles of clothing from the JCPenney store in the Southern Park Mall. Major also was wanted on several warrants.

Assault: A girl reported another Boardman High School student grabbed and twisted her wrist, then stabbed the accuser with a pencil in an unprovoked attack.

Theft: Police booked and released on a summons 27-year-old Ashlie N. Givens, 2390 Ridgewood Road, Youngstown, after $395 worth of clothing was stolen from Macy’s.

Theft/misuse of a credit card: A Struthers woman reported her stolen debit card had been used without consent to withdraw $200 from her account at a Youngstown-Poland Road bank.

Theft: A 15-year-old Youngstown boy as well as Bobby Wilson, 18, of 3121 Pine Hollow Drive, Youngstown, were charged after two pairs of shoes were stolen from the JCPenney store.

Menacing: A Chester Drive woman told police someone had made several calls to a friend, threatening the accuser.

Vandalism: Someone tossed a rock through a double-pane window at a home in the 60 block of Shadyside Drive.

Aggravated menacing: A man reported that while stopped at a light on Indianola Road, a driver behind him approached and yelled at the accuser, saying he could get a gun and shoot the victim.

Theft: A woman was detained after being accused of stealing four compact discs from Wal-Mart and trying to sell them back to the store.

Theft: Austintown authorities handed to Boardman police 25-year-old Megan L. Marquis, 1075 N. Union Ave., Salem. She was wanted on a warrant from the township.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle’s passenger-side window sustained $100 worth of damage in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Recovered property: An abandoned 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck thought to have been stolen was found in the 50 block of Lemans Drive with damage to its steering column.

Theft: Two taillights were stolen off a vehicle in the 8000 block of Aquadale Drive.

Theft: Miscellaneous coins were removed from a car in the 100 block of Jeannette Drive.

Theft: A $700 cell phone was stolen from Best Buy.

Criminal damaging: Someone smashed a window and rummaged through a vehicle in the 4300 block of Chester Drive.

Theft: Two $25 Christmas decorations were stolen from a yard in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A car’s driver’s-side vent window was broken in the 4000 block of South Ave.

Criminal damaging: A vehicle in the 4500 block of Lockwood Boulevard had its rear windshield smashed.

Theft/criminal damaging: Someone broke a vehicle window in the 100 block of Alburn Drive, them took loose change.

Dec. 14

Domestic violence: A township boy, 15, was charged after his sister alleged the teen had repeatedly slapped her face, head-butted her and pushed her to the ground during an argument.

Theft: A woman’s purse was stolen from an office in the 100 block of DeBartolo Place.

Dec. 15

Domestic violence: A charge was filed against 32-year-old Shawn D. Ramsey Sr., 4504 Southern Blvd., Boardman, after his wife alleged Ramsey had struck her in the face during an argument.
