Area churches have planned services on Thursday, New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, a and Friday, New Year’s Day, Jan. 1.
Coalburg United Methodist Church, 1906 Wick Campbell Road, Hubbard: New Year’s Eve service with open communion from 5 to 7 p.m. and meditation and Scripture.
Faith Community Covenant Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd., Youngstown: Silent communion service from 1 to 8 p.m.
Holy Name of Jesus, 613 N. Lakeview Ave., Youngstown: New Year’s Eve liturgy at 5 p.m.; and New Year’s Day liturgy at 9:30 a.m.
Immaculate Conception Church, 811 Oak St., Youngstown: New Year’s Eve Mass at 4 p.m. and New Year’s Day Mass at 10 a.m. Epiphany Masses at 5 p.m. Jan. 2 and 8:30 and 11 a.m. Jan. 3 followed by visits from the Magi with the Three Kings who will sing and pass out gold coins (candy).
Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 343 Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown: New Year’s Eve Mass at 5 p.m. and New Year’s Day Mass at noon.
Queen of the Holy Rosary, 291 Scoville Drive, Vienna: New Year’s Eve with hour of reparation starting at 10:30 p.m. and including exposition and benediction of the Blessed Sacrament and New Year’s Day low Masses at 8 and 11 a.m.
St. Mark Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Liberty: and New Year’s Eve liturgy at 6 p.m. and liturgy eve of the Feast of Circumcision of Christ.

St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., St., Youngstown: New Year’s Eve holy hour at 3 p.m. and Mass at 4 p.m.; and New Year’s Day Mass at 10 a.m.
