Special to The Vindicator HISTORICAL treasure: Eighteen scenes from around the county are depicted in Columbiana County Bicentennial throws that are being sold by Salem Historical Society as colorful mementos of days of yore in the county. The throws are available for $55 each at 208 W. Broadway Ave. The society is also selling 2010 Salem community calendars, featuring the homes of early industrialists, and the recently released book, “Backyard History,” featuring area carriage houses. Until the end of the year the society will sell the 156-page book “The Salem Story Continues” for the reduced price of $20. The book chronicles the past 50 years of Salem’s history and lists Salem High School coaches and Salem officials who have served during the past 50 years. For more information call (330) 337-8514.
