No. 6 Ohio State 99, Western Illinois 38
COLUMBUS — Samantha Prahalis scored 22 points, Jantel Lavender added 20 despite sitting the last 11 minutes, and Ohio State ended its nonconference schedule. Illinois native Brittany Johnson made 4 of 5 3-point attempts and added 14 points for the Buckeyes (13-1), who resume Big Ten play Monday at Illinois seeking their sixth straight league title. Erica Lewis had 11 points for Western Illinois (4-8), which plays its final non-Summit League game Monday at Oklahoma State.
No. 9 Georgia 66, Detroit 42
ATHENS, Ga. — Freshman Jasmine Hassell scored a career-high 14 points in Georgia’s win over Detroit. Meredith Mitchell and Ashley Houts added 12 apiece for Georgia (11-0), which shot just 32 percent from the field. Hassell hit six of her nine field goal attempts while the rest of the Bulldogs were 18-for-65 (28 percent). Brigid Mulroy scored 14 for Detroit (1-9), which upset Georgia last season.
No. 11 LSU 72, SE Louisiana 27
BATON ROUGE, LA. — Allison Hightower scored 16 points and added five steals to help LSU rout Southeastern Louisiana. LaSondra Barrett had a double-double for the Lady Tigers (10-1) with 11 points and a season-high 10 rebounds. She also added five assists. Kim Edmonson led the Lady Lions (6-6) with 10 points. Southeastern Louisiana’s leading scorer Quantae Thomas was held to five points.
No. 20 Pitt 76, Western Kentucky 60
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — Jania Sims scored 19 points and Brittaney Thomas added 18 to lead Pittsburgh. Taneisha Harris had 15 points and Chelsea Cole added 17 points and 13 rebounds for the Panthers (10-1). Dominique Duck led Western Kentucky (5-6) with 13 points and 10 rebounds. Amy McNear was the only other Hilltopper in double figures as she added 10 points.
No. 21 Kansas 89, Houston 69
HOUSTON — Danielle McCray scored a game-high 37 points to lead Kansas. McCray made 12 of her first 13 shots and scored 25 points in the first half leading the Jayhawks (9-2) to their sixth straight win following back-to-back losses to Xavier and TCU in late November. McCray, who has scored at least 20 points six times this season, also led Kansas with 11 rebounds. Brittney Scott scored 22 points for the Cougars (6-5).
No. 24 Georgia Tech 62, Georgia State 50
ATLANTA — Brigitte Ardossi had 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead Georgia Tech. Sasha Goodlett added 16 points and Mo Bennett scored 10 for Georgia Tech.
