Cincy cop loses his driving privileges

CINCINNATI (AP) — Police have taken away an officer’s driving privileges after his latest traffic accident ruined a cruiser.

The Cincinnati Police Department says 24-year-old officer Kevin Jones has been assigned to a senior officer who will drive while Jones gets additional police academy training.

A 2004 Crown Victoria Jones was driving Nov. 3 flipped over on Interstate 71 while Jones was pursuing a driver who sped off while being ticketed for illegal parking.

Records show it was Jones’ fourth driving incident in less than two years.

Police records show he backed a police vehicle into a fixed object, caused an accident by turning into the path of another vehicle, and drove over the curb in a police parking lot.
