East 69, St. Peter Chanel 60

YOUNGSTOWN — Jarelle Burt scored 30 points and added five rebounds, two steals and two assists, while Justin Brown added 11 points with 15 rebounds, 10 blocked shots, two steals and one assis to lead East (3-3). East pulled away with a 25-18 scoring advantage in the last quarter. Devonte Brooks scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds with four steals and two assists to lead St. Peter Chanel (1-3), while Damon Jones added 12 points, three rebounds and three steals.

Mooney 52, East Palestine 41

EAST PALESTINE — Ryan Gallagher scored 15 points, Jeff Chahine had 11 and Danny Reese 10 to lead Mooney (4-1), which outscored East Palestine 15-6 in the second quarter to take control. Ben Gysin scored 18 points with 11 rebounds for the Bulldogs (5-1), while Austin Cope had 13 points. East Palestine got within six points with two minutes left before the Cardinals pulled away.

St. Thomas Aquinas 61, Ursuline 51

LOUISVILLE — DeVonte Jenkins scored 14 points and Jordan DuBose 12 to lead Ursuline, which was outscored 23-12 in the second quarter. Ryan Snyder scored 25 points to lead Aquinas (3-2).

Niles 66, Girard 58

GIRARD — Joe Moss and Davis Allen each scored eight points in the fourth quarter to lead Niles (3-3), which trailed 35-29 at halftime. Allen had 19 points, while Moss and Ryan Frantz each added 14 for the Red Dragons, who outscored Girard 23-17 in the final period to seal the victory. Matt Pagano scored 10 of his 19 in the fourth for the Indians (2-5), while Adam Charles added 17 points.

Campbell 71, Chesapeake 63

IRONTON — Matt Hodge and Jerah’me Williams scored 21 points each to lead Campbell in The Ironton Basketball Classic. The duo’s scoring helped offset a 32-point performance by Chesapeake’s Nathan Copley that including six 3-pointers. Lester Hughes added 16 points for Campbell (3-2). Chesapeake (3-3) also got 13 points from Colin Kennedy while Trent Saunders added 11 points and 10 rebounds. Copley also had 10 rebounds.

Struthers 85, Beaver Local 79

STRUTHERS — Nate Jacubec poured in 31 points, including five 3-point goals, to pace Struthers (4-2). Jake Jacubec added 17 points and Matt Durkin 15 to reinforce the Wildcats. Both teams had 27 goals but Struthers enjoyed a 10-6 advantage in the 3-point variety. Zack Murray fired in 33 points to lead Beaver Local, (1-4) while Mow Mow Thompson added 17.

Leetonia 57, Crestview 54

COLUMBIANA — Cody Stokes scored 19 points and Nick Altomare 18 for the Bears, who took a 10-point lead into the fourth quarter of an ITCL Tier One game. Carter Hill scored 19 points with eight rebounds and Adam Coppock added six points, six assists and two steals to lead Crestview (2-4, 1-2).

Western Reserve 44, South Range 42

NORTH LIMA — Jake Barker’s goal and free throw with 23 seconds left lifted Western Reserve from a 42-41 deficit to the win. Barker finished with 13 points to lead the Blue Devils (2-4), while Shane Ewing and Eric Kennehan added 10 apiece. Brandon Pluchinsky hit 10, points to lead South Range (4-2).

Youngstown Christian 81,

Canton Heritage Christian 22

CANTON — Casey Carroll scored 19 points while Louis Lee added 14 and John Pecchia nine to lead Youngstown Christian (6-0) at the Malone College gym. Youngstown Christian jumped out to a 49-11 halftime lead. Kenneth Hill had eight points for Canton Heritage Christian (0-3).

Newton Falls 58, Windham 31

WINDHAM — Brian Sole scored 13 of his 26 points in the second quarter when the Tigers (5-1) used a 17-point spurt to open a 31-15 cushion at the break. Cody Dillon added 10 points for the Tigers. Toren Roubic scored 12 points for the Bombers.

Champion 72, Bristol 66, OT

BRISTOLVILLE — Ross Farmer and Ian Barnes each scored 19 points for Champion, which outscored Bristol 10-4 in the overtime period. Andrew Holko scored 24 points and Chris Collins had 17 for Bristol, which trailed 17-9 after the first quarter.

Lordstown 55, Bloomfield 38

LORDSTOWN — Bill Wright scored 18 points and Steven Cribley 14 to lead Lordstown (4-1, 1-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference game). The Red Devils built a 26-8 halftime lead, holding Bloomfield scoreless in the second quarter. Dustin Kovolak had nine points for Bloomfield (3-2, 0-1).

Carrollton 76, West Branch 64

CARROLLTON — Jake Gonci scored 15 points and Mike Smith 14 for West Branch (3-2), which battled within two points midway through the third quarter before Carrollton pulled away. Kristin Cross had 22 points for Carrollton (2-3).

Kennedy Catholic 64, Sharpsville 56

SHARPSVILLE — Justin Rahim scored 21 points to lead Kennedy (3-2), which took a 30-17 halftime lead. Rocky Farmartino had 15 points and Jordan Branca 14 in the win. For Sharpsville, Ben Davis scored 23 and John Wilson 11.
