MilITARY ACADEMY Nominations

U.S. Rep. Tim Ryan of Niles, D-17th, announced that several local students have been nominated to attend national military academies. Each nominee completed an application and interview with the 17th District Nomination Committee, and the group was honored at a breakfast Sunday with the congressman. The nominated high-school seniors are as follows:

Ryan McCollum: Army, Warren JFK, parents, Ron and Amy McCollum.

Joseph Charnas: Navy, Lakeview, parents, Craig and Nancy Charnas.

Dominic Donofrio: Army, Lowellville, parents, John and Lisa Donofrio.

Sean Murphy: Navy, Poland Seminary, parents, Dennis and Nancy Murphy.

Conor Banyon: Navy, McDonald, parents, Gregg and Kathryn Banyon.

Jacob Barker: Navy, Austintown Fitch, parents, Charles and Elaine Barker.

Peter Stan: Navy, Champion, parents, Keith and Jennifer Brainard.

Michael McClearn: Air Force, Howland, parents, John and Lisa McClearn.

Jacob Berg: Air Force, Maplewood, parents, Phillip and Denise Berg.
