Mahoning Valley unemployment rates rose in November

YOUNGSTOWN — Unemployment rates in the Mahoning Valley rose last month from October’s levels.

Here are the rates, which were released this morning: Mahoning County, 13.2 percent, up from 11.9 percent; Trumbull County, 13.8 percent, up from 13.5 percent; and Columbiana County, 13 percent, up from 12.7 percent.

The rates for Mahoning County in November 2008 was 7.7 percent, while the other two counties were at 8 percent.
