2 local kids named to national all-star wrangler team

Leaders of the National High School Rodeo Association in Denver, the oldest youth rodeo program in America, named Sarah Montgomery of Petersburg and Kyle Smith of New Springfield to the Wrangler High School All-Star Road Team.

The two youths earned a position with the corporate-sponsored youth rodeo team based on leadership qualities, academic eligibility and athletic achievements.

Team members receive official competition apparel consisting of two Wrangler Twenty X shirt embroidered with the team logo and two pairs of competition jeans.
