BRUNSWICK — Brunswick jumped out to a 36-18 halftime lead and went on to defeat Chaney, 83-48, in a high school boys basketball game on Saturday night.
Tyler Ferrell led Brunswick with 24 points, while Kyle Payne added 18.
Brunswick shot 62 percent (32 of 52) from the field.
Tyrell Howell scored 14 points to lead the Cowboys (3-2), who shot just 33 percent (20 of 60) from the field, including 2 of 18 on 3-pointers.
Chuck Jennings and Anthony Cornwell added eight points apiece for Chaney. Howell and Cornwell also shared team-high rebounding honors for the Cowboys.
Chaney was outscored 47-30 in the second half.
