YMCA plans Off School Camp

STAFF REPORT

BOARDMAN — Several activities are planned at the D.D. & Velma Davis YMCA, off McClurg Road, for the children’s Off School Camp this holiday break.

This year’s camp features gym and educational activities, swimming, arts and crafts, a holiday movie and lunch with Santa to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

Campers also will take a field trip to Youngstown State University’s Planetarium for a special educational program in astronomy.

The Off School Camp is open to children age 6 to 13 and is offered 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday and Dec. 28, 29 and 30. Extended hours are available from 7 to 9 a.m. and 4 to 6 p.m.

Fees for this year’s camp are $25 per day for members and $35 per day for nonmembers. Prices for camp on Wednesday are $30 for members and $40 for nonmembers. Other dates and fees will remain the same.

Campers should bring swim attire, a towel, gym shorts, lunch, snacks and drinks.

All pickups and drop-offs will be at the Davis YMCA, and every participant must have an emergency medical record submitted. These records can be picked up at the front desk or printed out from the Web site at youngstownymca.org.
