Fundraiser for Ed Port set for Monday in Austintown

AUSTINTOWN — Buffalo Wild Wings Grill & Bar in the Austintown Plaza , 6000 Mahoning Ave., has teamed up with the Ed Needs a Miracle foundation for a Monday night fundraiser.

Ed Port ‘s neurofibromatosis has caused a tumor to form on the left side of his face impairing his eyesight and hearing.

“He came to us about six months ago as a guest and we’ve been trying to help ever since,” said Ross Thompson, general manager. “Anyone who meets him would understand that his condition, tenacity, and charisma all come together to make Ed the most deserving person I’ve ever met.”

Buffalo Wild Wings in Austintown will have a 5 to 9 p.m. fund raiser event with a “Blazing Wings Challenge.” For each blazing hot wing eaten, Buffalo Wild Wings will donate $1 to Ed Needs A Miracle. Also, for everyone who brings in the flier posted on http://www.facebook.com/l/ad6cc;edneedsamiracle.com and makes a food purchase, 15 percent of that sale will be donated to the Ed Needs A Miracle Foundation.

A Raffle will also be held; grand prize is a Samsung 7.1 blu-ray entertainment system; second prize, Intel Celeron

laptop computer 160 gb hD 8x dvd burner with carrycase, Vista Premium Upgrade from Vista Home; third prize, $300 cash.

Tickets will be sold until 6:45 p.m. and the drawing is at 7 p.m. There also will be a 50/50 raffle drawing at 9 p.m.
