No. 3 Notre Dame 88, Valparaiso 47

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Brittany Mallory scored 13 of her career-high 22 points as Notre Dame quickly jumped to a 21-point lead en route to a victory. Mallory hit her first five shots, with her 3-pointer midway through the first half giving the Irish (9-0) a 29-8 lead. The Crusaders (3-5), who lost their fifth straight, went on a 10-2 run to close to 33-20 on a three-point play by Raegan Moore with 6:12 left before intermission. But Valparaiso missed its last nine shots of the half and trailed 45-22 at halftime. The Irish pulled away throughout the second half.

TCU 56, No. 10 Texas A&M 54

FORT WORTH, Texas — Helen Sverrisdottir scored 20 points and TCU rallied from an 11-point deficit over the final five minutes. TCU (7-3) extended its home winning streak to 12 games. After A&M’s fourth turnover in the final three minutes, T.K. LaFleur hit a pair of free throws to put the Lady Frogs in front 56-54 — their first lead since the 7:10 mark of the first half. A&M turned the ball over on the ensuing possession and misfired on a desperation 3-point attempt as time expired. Tyra White scored 16 points for Texas A&M (7-1). White was the only player in double figures for the Aggies, who were held 33 points below their season average and committed a season-high 23 turnovers.

No. 20 Dayton 84, Miami (Ohio) 75

OXFORD — Kendel Ross scored a career-high 29 points and Dayton rebounded from its first loss as a ranked team. Ross’ 3-pointer gave Dayton (9-2) its largest lead, 71-58 with 3:44 to play. Miami (1-8) was difficult to put away, but the Flyers kept their lead between eight and 12 points in the final minutes with free throws and layups against the RedHawks’ gambling defense. Dayton, ranked for the first time two weeks ago, had its seven-game winning streak snapped at Toledo on Wednesday.
