ROCKWOOD, Pa. (AP) — A 34-year-old man has been found dead after a camper fire in southwestern Pennsylvania, though his fiancee and the couple’s children managed to escape.

The Somerset County coroner is investigating the death of Gary DeFrances, of Masontown, who was found dead about 1:45 a.m. Sunday. A state police fire marshal is still investigating the blaze.

Police say DeFrances’ fiance and other campers called 911.

The fire happened at the Scottyland Campground in Middlecreek Township, about 60 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.
