Off to school for Ohio’s first set of sextuplets

CUYAHOGA FALLS, Ohio (AP) — Kindergartners at one Ohio school are getting a crash course in the number 6, because their classmates are the state’s first and only sextuplets.

The 5-year-old Hanselman half-dozen started school this week at Lincoln Elementary in Cuyahoga Falls.

Alex, Isabella, Kyle, Logan, Lucy and Sophia grabbed colorful backpacks and piled into the family’s van for Tuesday’s first day of classes. Older brother Connor, who’s 7, told his siblings school would be fun and that they’d find dinosaurs and other cool toys.

The sextuplets, born Feb. 26, 2004, disappeared into their classrooms after good-byes from parents Jennifer and Keith Hanselman. Their mom says it’ll take some time to get used to not having them at home.
