AIKEN, S.C.— Lindsey Meador and Kenneth D. Sommers, both of Aiken, were united in marriage on May 30 during a ceremony that took place at Hopeland Gardens.
The bride is a daughter of Rheo (Bobby) Meador of Aiken, and the late Debra Meador, and the groom’s parents are Kenneth and Denise Sommers of Austintown.
Jennifer Allensworth was the honor attendant for her sister, and the bridesmaid was another sister, Danielle Meador.
The groom’s brother, Cory Sommers, performed the duties of best man, and serving as groomsman was the groom’s father.
Ring bearer was the bride’s nephew, John Allensworth.
After a honeymoon in the Smoky Mountains of Tennessee, the couple live in Aiken.
They will be honored at a postnuptial reception on Aug. 29 in Austintown.
The bride, an emergency-room nurse at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga., graduated from the University of South Carolina, Aiken Campus.
The groom graduated from Mahoning County Joint Vocational School and is an assistant equipment technician at The Reserve Club.
