A summary of recent criminal activity in Poland and Boardman townships:

POLAND

April 25

Identity theft: A report was filed from a Chesterton Drive residence in which the victim discovered $469 worth of unauthorized charges.

April 26

Criminal damaging: A vehicle drove through and damaged 100 feet of lawn in the 1700 block of South Hubbard Road.

Arrest: Police served warrants to a 50-year-old Poland woman, charging her with five felony counts of identity fraud.

April 27

Criminal mischief: Someone used a marker to write vulgarities on a wall at a Center Road business.

Identity theft: A credit/debit card was missing from a Sylvan Lane residence and likely used for unauthorized charges.

BOARDMAN

April 25

Burglary: A purse was removed from a kitchen after a break-in at an apartment in the 1200 block of Boardman-Canfield Road.

Theft: Spare change was missing from a truck someone had entered in the 5400 block of Southern Boulevard.

Theft: A $150 laptop computer was stolen from a Shields Road apartment.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage occurred in the 7400 block of Becky Court after a man deliberately drove a truck on the property.

Theft: Someone stole $32 worth of merchandise from CVS Pharmacy, 6121 South Ave.

Theft: A $150 yard trailer was taken from a driveway in the 5500 block of West Boulevard.

Theft: Someone took an AM/FM/compact-disc player from a car in the 7400 block of South Avenue.

Criminal damaging: A front picture window to a home in the 1600 block of Rose Hedge Drive was broken.

April 26

Breaking and entering: Someone entered a vacant residence in the 3900 block of South Schenley Avenue and removed copper piping from the basement.

Theft: A $600 IPhone was taken from AT&T in the Southern Park Mall.

Assault: A woman accused her former boyfriend of shoving, pushing, kicking and punching her, then tossing her to the floor, during an argument at a Wolosyn Circle residence. She suffered injuries to both knees and elsewhere.

Domestic violence: A 22-year-old Youngstown man was booked on charges of domestic violence and criminal trespassing after his former girlfriend and two other people reported having been threatened in the 4000 block of South Avenue.

Burglary: Took place at a Palo Verde Drive home from which numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen.

Damage: A phone and computer were broken at a residence in the 6800 block of Lockwood Boulevard. Damage came to about $1,000.

April 27

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 20, was charged in the theft of a $40 pair of shoes from Shoe Carnival, 550 Boardman-Poland Road.

Theft: Five hair-care products were stolen from Family Dollar, 4026 South Ave.

Menacing: A Struthers man received threats while at a Boardman-Canfield Road business.

Theft: A $27 pair of pants was taken from Hair Depot, 4028 Market St.

Burglary: To an apartment in the 5000 block of Aravesta Avenue. Stolen was a $600 laptop computer.

Theft: A 41-year-old Warren man was charged, accused of taking a cell phone and four video games from Wal-Mart, 1300 Doral Drive.

Arrest: Officers responded to a disturbance on Paxton Road and took into custody a Boardman woman, 20, wanted on charges of obstructing official business and a probation violation.

Theft: A vehicle’s license plate was removed in the 7900 block of Market Street.

Menacing: A resident in the 4000 block of South Avenue reported having been threatened with bodily harm.

Fraud: An Oregon Trail resident found out an automated-teller-machine card had been used on three occasions in Florida without consent.

April 28

Criminal damaging: A poster case was broken at Tinsletown USA, 7401 Market St. Damage was $200.

Theft: A 47-year-old Youngstown man surrendered to authorities. He was wanted by the township on two felony counts of theft.

Possible theft: A Sarasota, Fla., woman’s cell phone was lost or stolen at a South Avenue motel.

Misuse of a credit card: A Youngstown woman reported her debit card had been used 14 times in the township without her knowledge or consent.

Theft: A DVD player was missing from a home in the 60 block of Clifton Drive.

Theft: A Youngstown man, 37, and a Struthers woman, 40, were charged with theft and complicity to theft, respectively, after two digital cameras were stolen from Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 7295 Market St. Both also were charged with obstructing official business.

Arrest: A 27-year-old township man faced a charge of violating a protection order when, police said, he failed to show at a designated location to exchange custody of his child.

Theft: A Niles woman, 22, a Warren woman, 24, and a Warren man, 27, were charged in the theft of a pair of sunglasses and 22 articles of clothing from the J.C. Penney store in the Southern Park Mall.

Identity theft: An Oakridge Drive man told police of receiving an e-mail that caused him to believe his identity and password to a Facebook account had been compromised.

Theft: A man and a woman, both 18 and of Struthers, were accused of taking three DVDS and 10 other items from Wal-Mart.
