Clues sought in death of man found in parking lot of Austintown store

AUSTINTOWN — Township police and the Mahoning County Coroner’s office are investigating the death of a man whose body was found Wednesday in a truck in the Wal-Mart parking lot here.

According to a police report, a store security guard approached the truck at 3:45 p.m. in the Mahoning Avenue store lot and saw the body in the back seat. He knocked on the window a couple of times, and after getting no response, he called police.

Police are awaiting a report from the coroner on the cause of death.
