WEDNESDAY

• American Legion Post 290, state Route 14, Columbiana: The kitchen is open to the public from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesdays through Fridays. Among the specials are: Today, wings from 6 to 9 p.m.; and Friday, all-you-can-eat fish fry from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals include mac and cheese, fries, dessert, coleslaw, coffee and tea. THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $5 a dozen. Orders should be placed early from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528 and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot Lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

• Potato and cheese pirogi will be sold Friday at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9-11:30 a.m. only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza, and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 to 11 Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be by 1 p.m. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. • Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, Warren, will sell all-you-can-eat fish dinners from 3:30-6:30 p.m. Meals include deep-fried ocean perch, home-fried potatoes, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children. Meat loaf is also available. Meals can be delivered to the Tod and Buckeye high-rise apartments if the church is called before 1 p.m. at (330) 393-3859.

SATURDAY

• Mahoning United Methodist Church, 2214 Mahoning Ave., will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals are $8 for adults, $3 for children 7 to 12, and free for those under 7. Takeouts will be available. Tickets will be sold at the door.

• Richard Brown United Methodist Church, Woodbine at Elm Street, will serve Swiss steak dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Meals include beverage and dessert. The cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for children under 12.

• TNR of Warren will host a fundraising spaghetti dinner from 4 to 6:30 p.m. at North Bristol Christian Church, 1955 Hyde Oakfield Road, Bristolville. Meals include homemade meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and beverage. The cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children. Carryouts will be available. There will be a 50-50 raffle and Chinese auction.

SUNDAY

• Boy Scout Troop 55 of Youngstown will serve spaghetti dinners from noon to 6 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 201 Wick Ave. The cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children. Carryouts will be available.

• Catholic Charities Senior Center, 600 E. Fourth St., East Liverpool, will serve roast pork dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Meals include stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, coleslaw, roll, and cake. • The Ladies Auxiliary of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve homestyle breakfasts of eggs, sausage or ham, hash browns, pancakes, freedom toast, toast, and coffee or tea from 8 a.m. to noon. Meals are $5 for adults and $3 for children under 12.

• St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown, will have a spaghetti dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the social hall. Cost is $6.50 for adults and $3.50 for children 8 and under. A new WRTA 12-passenger vehicle will be on display in the church parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

TAKING ORDERS

• Girard First United Methodist Church Lydia Circle is taking orders for individual size ham loaves. The cost is $2 per loaf. Orders may be placed through Monday by calling the church at (330) 545-4361. Pickup will be between 1 and 4 p.m. May 11.

• Youngstown American Hungarian Club, 2219 Donald Ave., is taking orders for carryout stuffed cabbage. The cost is $12 a dozen. Patrons can provide their containers and save the $1.25 fee charged for club containers. Orders will be accepted until May 7 by calling (330) 799-7008 or (330) 792-5124. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. May 16 at the club.

UPCOMING

• Boar’s Head Ladies of St. John’s Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. May 6 at the church. The menu will include salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6.50, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary. • Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman Poland Road, Poland, will have takeout dinners of baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans available from 4 to 6 p.m. May 7 (or until sold out). The cost is $6. No need to pre-order or get out of the car.

• St. John’s Lutheran Church, 1429 Mahoning Ave., next to Fellows Riverside Gardens, will have its famous Mother’s Day all-you-can-eat Sunday Buffet on May 10 from 11:45 a.m. until the food runs out. Buffet items are roast beef, potatoes, roasted turkey and stuffing, Grandma’s green beans and other vegetables, applesauce, mixed green salad, assorted fancy desserts, bread and beverages. Prices are $12.50 for adults and $6.25 for children 6-12. To ensure seating together, call (330) 755-7747 for reservations.

• Southington United Methodist Church, state Route 305 at 534, Southington, will serve chicken dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. May 6. Meals include 1‚Ñ4 chicken, scalloped potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw and homemade desserts. The cost is $7.50 for adults. Children’s meals of chicken tenders will be $4 for those 4 to 10 and free for those 3 and under. Call the church at (330) 898-2156, and carryouts will be ready to be picked up.

• Vienna Presbyterian Church, 4295 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will be selling spaghetti dinners from 4-6 p.m. May 16. The menu includes meatballs, salad and dessert, and takeouts will be available. The prices are $6 for adults and $3 for children 12 and under.
