Youngstown awarded team
kThe United States Hockey League announced on Monday that it has awarded an expansion membership to Youngstown businessman Bruce Zoldan for the 2009-10 season. The new team will play at the Chevrolet Centre.

Murder trial
kSelection of 12 jurors and two alternates was expected to be completed today in the capital murder trial of Curtis Young. Young is charged with the July 31, 2007, aggravated murders of his ex-girlfriend, her full-term fetus and her 8-year-old son.
