Building photographs

WARREN — The Trumbull County auditor’s office will be updating the photographs in its database showing the front exterior of every residential and commercial building in the county.

Workers in white Ford vans marked with an auditor’s office sign will be driving along every street and photographing property from the public right of way, Auditor Adrian Biviano said.

Workers from Integrity Appraisal Services Inc. of Niles will begin the photographing at the end of this month and continue for about four months.

Biviano said the project will improve the county’s real estate records and provide a “before” photograph of a structure in case of a loss and if the owner needs a photograph for insurance purposes.

Workers also will verify addresses used by the county’s Geographic Information System mapping department during the project.

Recycle phone books

YOUNGSTOWN — The Green Team (Mahoning County Recycling Division) reminds area residents that old telephone directories may be recycled in curbside bins or in the newspaper and magazine sections of recycling drop-off bins.

The recycled old telephone books are made into animal bedding, home insulation, drywall, roof shingles and new telephone directories.

Businesses may call the Green Team at (330) 740-2060 to arrange for large pickups.
