State Sen. Joseph L. Schiavoni is Law Day luncheon speaker

YOUNGSTOWN — State Sen. Joseph L. Schiavoni of Canfield, D-33rd, is the featured speaker at Mahoning County Bar Association’s Law Day Luncheon.

The luncheon will be at noon Friday in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church Hall, and the cost is $20 per person.

Wednesday is the registration deadline. Reservations should be made with the bar association office at 114 E. Front St.

The theme will be “A Legacy of Liberty,” and the event will commemorate the bicentennial of the birth of President Abraham Lincoln.

Area high school students will be luncheon guests, and awards will be given to student winners of an essay contest.

The Downtown Rotary and Youngstown Kiwanis and Lions clubs are luncheon co-sponsors.
