STRUTHERS — Winning pitcher Mark Warchol tossed a three-hitter and homered for the Cardinals (8-0). Ed Reese’s two hits included a double and Dan Eich tripled. Drew Fitzpatrick had three hits and Brad Byers two. For the Hornets (9-2), David Saluga homered.

Mooney 15, Sharon 11

STRUTHERS — For the Cardinals, Reese hit two triples. Also with two hits were Byers, Fitzpatrick, Eich and Boo Vazquez. For the Tigers (5-3), Zack Schweiss homered and tripled while Mike Tomkos hit two triples. Justin Rearick tripled while Joe Stonebreaker doubled.

Fitch 12-14, Lakeview 0-4

AUSTINTOWN — Chris Miller went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Jordan Endsley had three RBIs and Tony Koch had three RBIs for Fitch (7-3) in the first game. Tyler Hartman went the distance, tossing a two-hit shutout with four strikeouts and no walks. Hartman also had two RBIs. In the second game, Nick Crum had three hits, while Jake Eynon, Mike Hedebrand and J.D. Diana each had two hits for the Falcons. Jared Clark doubled and tripled and Nick Massacci had two hits for Lakeview.

Warren JFK 11-2, Garfield 8-9

WARREN — Nick Brown hit two doubles, drove in two runs and scored twice in the Eagles’ win. Alex Cuckovich had three hits while winning pitcher Brendan Cox and Anthony Rossi each had two. In Garfield’s win, Rossi and Brown doubled for the Eagles (4-7) while Cox had two hits. Garfield is 7-4.

Niles 13-9, Crestview 10-0

COLUMBIANA — Mike Livi’s three hits led the Red Dragons in the first game. Evan Bollinger had two hits. For the Rebels, Corey Hill homered while David Drinnon and Adam Coppock doubled. In the second game, Bollinger hit two doubles and and four hits. Livi’s two hits included a double. Also with two hits were Nick Harper and Mike Watson.

Jackson-Milton 10-6, Youngstown Christian 9-12

NORTH JACKSON — Jeff Karash and Zach Nagy doubled for the Bluejays (1-12) in their win. Nagy had three hits and three RBIs. For the Eagles (5-2), Anthony Abeid, Pat Durkin and Bob Schmid doubled. In the Eagles’ win, winning pitcher Schmid had three hits and scored three runs, Dom Echevestre had two hits and John Pecchia doubled. George Chepke doubled for the Bluejays.

South Range 14-19, Lowellville 4-6

STRUTHERS — Chris Gause had three hits, including a three-run homer, and drove in five runs to lead Springfield in the first game. Phil Arsuffi added three hits, including a triple, while Andy Lacefield had three hits and two RBIs and Mike Rohan had three hits. In the second game, Arsuffi had two hits, including a three-run homer, Lacefield had four hits and three RBIs, Vince Miller had two hits and three RBIs and Gause had two hits and four RBIs for South Range (7-8).

Niles 6, Beaver Local 0

LISBON — Mike Livi doubled and scored two runs for the Red Dragons. Winning pitcher Mike Watson and Nick Harper each had two hits. For the Beavers, Travis Lynch had two hits.

Mathews 2, Maplewood 1

VIENNA — Corey Lumley’s run-scoring single tied the game in the sixth inning and Jared Smith’s in the seventh won the game for the Mustangs (10-0, 8-0 Northeastern Athletic Conference). Winning pitcher Chris Morgan tossed a three-hitter, striking out 11 and walking four. David Muresan’s RBI single gave the Rockets (9-3, 7-1) the lead in the third inning.
