Book fair to raise funds for First Book
NORTON — The Ohio Jewelry and Metal Arts Guild is working together with Barnes & Noble Booksellers in Youngstown and other areas to raise funds for First Book.
First Book is a national nonprofit volunteer-based organization that donates new books to children in need.
The Barnes & Noble Book Fair will help in several ways. First, a percentage of book fair sales will underwrite their new book donations.
Second, their library will be able to create a wish list for titles to enhance its own library collections.
Book-fair supporters may choose books from an in-store wish list display to buy for the library.
On May 8 and 15, Barnes & Noble will contribute a percentage of every sale made with a special book fair voucher to First Book.
Vouchers will be available online at First Book’s Web site, www.firstbook.org, on the Ohio Jewelry and Metal Arts’ Web site, www.ohiojmag.com, or Barnes & Noble’s Web site, www.bn.com.
