Carsons are honored by their family during anniversary dinner party

BOARDMAN — Mr. and Mrs. William P. Carson of Boardman were the guests of honor during a dinner party April 18 at Tangier Restaurant in Akron, where their 50th wedding anniversary was observed.

Hosts for the celebration were their daughter, Cathryn A. Carson of Boardman, and son and daughter-in-law, James P. and Peggy Carson of Hudson. Rounding out the family are four grandchildren, Casey, Carmen and William Carson, and Callie Metzger.

The former Judith A. George and Mr. Carson were united in marriage April 11, 1959, at Bentleyville Presbyterian Church in Pennsylvania. They are members of Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Carson retired in 1997 from Peg-Mar Creative Preschool in Canfield, where she was an aide. She is a member of Viking Embroidery Club and Driftwood Garden Club.

Mr. Carson retired in 1997 as a field vice president from Mutual of America in Pittsburgh. He is a trombonist and performs locally with several musical organizations.
