UPTON AWARD \ Trumbull 100

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber’s Warren Area Council presented Trumbull 100, a community organization dedicated to the improvement of the quality of life in Trumbull County, with the Chamber’s third annual Upton Community Service Award on Friday.

The Upton Award

Named for women’s-rights advocate Harriet Taylor Upton.

Given annually to a nonprofit, social service or government agency or organization in the city of Warren that has exemplified superior ethical, moral and professional standards and has supported the Warren community.

Trumbull 100

Formed in 1994 by area CEOs, professionals and business people. It has had between 60 and 75 members.

In 2008, it revitalized Downtown Warren through the installation of flowers, provided music downtown on an outdoor speaker system, provided ice skating in Courthouse Square, and assisted with the development of the Trumbull County Veterans’ Memorial.
