Speaker to tell governments, school districts how to reinvent themselves

NILES — A national government- reform speaker will discuss ways local governments and school districts can reinvent themselves at a luncheon at 11:30 a.m. May 1 at Ciminero’s Banquet Centre.
David Osborne, a senior partner of the Public Strategies Group consulting firm that helps public organizations improve their performance, will talk about “Finding the Leverage for Change: The Five Strategies for Reinventing Government.”
The event is hosted by the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber and EfficientGovNow and sponsored by the Fund for Our Economic Future, the Wean Foundation and the Trumbull Foundation.

Osborne has authored or co-authored five books on government reform as well as numerous articles in newspapers and other publications.
