Pishkur to speak at office managers’ meeting

POLAND — Walter “Buzz” Pishkur, Forum Health chief executive and president, will be the first speaker for the newly formed Office Manager’s Network at noon Thursday at Shepherd of the Valley-Poland, 310 W. Western Reserve Road. He will speak about the future of health care in the Mahoning Valley.

The meeting is open to physician’s office managers in Mahoning and Columbiana counties.

NanoLogix begins building new facility in Hubbard

HUBBARD — NanoLogix, a biotechnology company, said it has started construction on a 2,800-square-foot manufacturing facility at its headquarters on Main Street.

The area will contain a production clean room, cold-storage vault, and a shipping and receiving area for its BNP Ultra-Fast test kits.

The company said the kits provide accelerated detection of bacteria and pathogens and have applications in homeland security, defense, human and veterinary medicine, food processing and other industries.

The new facility will replace the company’s limited-production operation at its research-and-development laboratory in Cincinnati.

The company said this will allow for expanded research and development of other products at the Cincinnati lab.
