ISSUES | May 5 primary

The following issues will be on the May 5 primary ballot:

MAHONING COUNTY

Beloit: A 6-mill additional levy for a continuous period of time for fire operations to raise $51,117 annually.

Boardman: Shall the township have the authority to aggregate retail natural gas loads and, for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of natural gas, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt out?

Boardman: Shall the township have the authority to aggregate retail electricity loads and, for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of electricity, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt out?

Boardman: A 0.3-mill, 5-year renewal levy for streets, roads and bridges to raise $133,757 annually.

Boardman: A 3.2-mill, 5-year renewal levy for current expenses to raise $1,426,749 annually.

Green: A 3.9-mill, 5-year replacement levy for police protection to raise $270,710 annually.

Struthers: Shall the city have the authority to aggregate retail electricity loads and, for that purpose, enter into service agreements to facilitate for those loads the sale and purchase of electricity, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects to opt out?

Poland schools: A 2.8-mill, 5-year renewal levy for emergency requirements to raise $1,068,055 annually.

Springfield schools: The renewal of a 1-percent income tax for 5 years to raise $1,479,094 annually.

South Range schools: A 4.5-mill, 10-year renewal levy to avoid an operating deficit to raise $793,000 annually.

Western Reserve schools: A 4.6-mill, 10-year renewal levy to avoid an operating deficit to raise $425,000 annually.

Youngstown Precinct 5I: Permit the sale of beer, wine and mixed beverages at the Party Pantry, 2732 Glenwood Ave.

Youngstown Precinct 2D: Permit the Sunday sale of wine and mixed beverages at Nemenz Lincoln Knolls IGA, 2980 McCartney Road.

TRUMBULL COUNTY

Champion: A 1.2-mill, 5-year renewal for township fire and emergency medical services to raise $155,156 annually.

Girard: Shall the city have the authority to aggregate the retail electric service of customers in the city, such aggregation to occur automatically except where any person elects out?

Liberty schools: A 9.9-mill, 10-year additional levy for emergency requirements to raise $2,291,362 annually.

Weathersfield schools: A 6.4-mill bond issue to borrow $8.4 million over 28 years to build, renovate, remodel, furnish, equip and otherwise improve school buildings.

Weathersfield schools: A 1.6-mill additional levy for a continuous period of time to fund school improvements, to raise $131,739 annually.

COLUMBIANA COUNTY

Leetonia schools: A 8.8-mill, 5-year additional levy to raise a total of $578,000 a year to avoid an operating deficit.
