Information distributed Tuesday at a workshop, “Working on Solutions to Sexual Assault Crimes,” included contact information on where victims of sexual assault can get help.

Rape Information and Counseling Program: Mahoning County’s 24-hour crisis- intervention program for survivors of rape and other sexual assaults. (330) 782-3936.

Child Advocacy Center: The center serves Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Ashtabula counties in Ohio and Mercer County in Pennsylvania. (330) 743-2539. Referrals are from children services agencies.

Sojourner House: It offers 24-hour assistance for domestic-violence victims. (330) 747-4040.

Family Investigations Unit: The Youngstown Police Department unit investigates sexual assault, sexual abuse, domestic violence and crimes committed by children. (330) 743-9380.

Mahoning County Children Services Board: The agency, in partnership with the community, is committed to assuming a leadership role in protecting children and preserving families. (330) 941-8888.

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners’ Coordinator: Humility of Mary Health Partners Program provides medical intervention to survivors of sexual violation. (330) 480-2344.

Help Hotline Crisis Center Inc.: Mahoning County’s 24-hour information and referral telephone service. (330) 747-2696.

Mahoning County Prosecutor’s Office — Victim Witness Division and Juvenile Division: The office handles information on indicted criminal cases in the adult system and criminal cases in the juvenile system. Victim Witness Division, (330) 740-2082, and Juvenile Division, (330) 740-2244, ext. 6431.

RAINN (Rape, Abuse and Incest National Network): This automated system returns calls to the nearest available rape-crisis or crime-victim service in the network. (800) 656-4673.

VINE (Victim Information and Notification Everyday): Automated system that provides information on inmates in county jails and state prisons and will notify victims of releases and escapes. (800) 770-0192.

Office of Victim Services, Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction: Information about incarcerated individuals. (888) 842-8464.

Ohio Victims of Crime Compensation Program: Administered through the Ohio Attorney General’s office, this program provides financial assistance for victims of violent crimes. (877) 584-2846.
