CANFIELD

April 9

Theft: A resident of the 200 block of Fairground Boulevard reported that three Pontiac center caps, valued at about $20 each, had been taken off his car.

April 10

Drug abuse: Police arrested a 30-year-old Canfield man on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 40 block of Court Street. Police found a multicolored glass pipe with suspected marijuana residue in it and a small bag of suspected marijuana.

April 11

Mutual aid: Canfield police assisted Austintown police in crowd control after a concert at The Wedgewood Plaza, South Raccoon Road. One man was arrested for disorderly conduct.

Dangerous drugs: Police charged a 27-year-old Youngstown man with possession of dangerous drugs at Carriage Lane after police found seven amphetamine tablets on him.

April 12

Mutual aid: City police assisted the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department in a pursuit of a car driven by a 34-year-old Lisbon man when the vehicle came into the city at state Route 46 at Leffingwell Road. The man drove his car to the Mill Creek MetroParks Experimental Farm, 7574 Columbiana-Canfield Road, where the man attempted to drive over the grass to re-enter Route 46 and got stuck. He left the vehicle and began running and was pursued by Canfield police, who wound up using a Taser on the man to get him under control.

April 13

Menacing: A man and a woman from the 400 block of Fairview Avenue made complaints that another man had made complaints to the husband.

April 15

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested a 19-year-old Rogers man for possessing and concealing drug paraphernalia at Fairground Boulevard. Police found a bag of 11 grams of green vegetable matter and a multicolored smoke pipe.

April 16

Bad check: The owner of Bella Napoli Pizza, 419 E. Main St., said a woman wrote him a check for $66 on a closed account to pay for pizzas.

April 13

Theft: A cell phone was stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of Wilcox Road.

Theft: Diamond rings were stolen at a home in the 3000 block of Darbyshire Drive.

Theft: An iPod was stolen from ITT Technical Institute, 1030 N. Meridian Road.

Breaking and entering: A storage building was broken into at the former Ponderosa Restaurant, 4626 Mahoning Ave.

April 14

Counterfeit currency: A counterfeit $20 bill was passed at the BP Uni-Mart, 3602 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal mischief: A house was egged in the 4000 block of Kerrybrook Drive.

Aggravated robbery: A man with a handgun robbed Advanced America, 4429 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A black leather jacket and keys were stolen from an apartment in the 400 block of South Raccoon Road.

Theft: More than 63 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen from a vehicle parked at Fyda Freightliner, 5260 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: A woman was given a summons for shoplifting at Wal-Mart, 6001 Mahoning Ave.

April 15

Theft: An undetermined amount of diesel fuel was stolen from an auto at Pilot Oil, 1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A window was shot with a BB gun at a home in the 5000 block of Country Trail.

Theft: Equipment was rented and not returned at Power Tool and Supply, 3699 LeHarps Road.

Theft: 160 gallons of fuel was stolen from an auto at Fyda Freightliner.

Recovered property: A box trailer that had been reported stolen by Niles police was located at the Pilot truck lot,1150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Identity theft: A resident of an apartment in the 4000 block of Deer Creek Road learned when he checked his credit report that a telephone number was opened with his name, and the account was delinquent by $263.

Theft: A man was released on a summons for theft at Wal-Mart.

Theft: A woman reported her father, who has had numerous brain surgeries, tried to have a Ford Contour repaired by two brothers on Notre Dame Drive, and then purchased a second car sight unseen after the first car could not be repaired. Both cars are missing numerous parts and cannot be driven.

April 16

Theft: Stereo equipment was stolen from an auto at a home in the 200 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Theft: A total of $30.50 in gasoline was stolen from Country Fair, 1143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Criminal damaging: A home was damaged by a BB pellet and paint ball strikes in the 3000 block of Meanderwood Drive.

Fraud: Unauthorized transactions were made to a checking account at a home in the 4000 block of New Hampshire Court.

Criminal trespass: A man was released on a summons for trespassing at an apartment in the 900 block of Compass West.

Breaking and entering: Computer equipment was taken from Bits, Bytes and Pieces, 5462 Mahoning Ave.

Telecommunications harassment: An unknown caller was making harassing calls to an apartment in the 800 block of North Meridian Road.

Menacing: A woman is accused of menacing at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

April 17

Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged at the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Criminal damaging: Vehicle tires were slashed on an auto at a home in the 70 block of Carnegie Avenue.

Drug offense: A Youngstown woman was arrested for possession of marijuana at a home in the 6000 block of Harvard Place.

Fraud: The same check was cashed twice at a home in the 2000 block of Spring Meadow Circle.

Theft: Jewelry was stolen from a home in the 200 block of South Four Mile Run Road.

Theft: An air conditioning unit was stolen from a home in the 5000 block of Crimson Court.

Criminal damaging: A rock was thrown through a back window on a vehicle at an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Theft: A “No Parking” sign was stolen at Lloyd Elementary School, 5705 Norquest Boulevard.

Theft: A patron and employee worked together to use a bad credit card for purchases at Salvatore’s, 4831 Mahoning Ave.

Burglary: Household items were stolen from an apartment in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Identity theft: A resident reported a stolen identity was used to open a telephone account at an apartment in the 1000 block of Compass West.

April 18

Drug offense: An Austintown woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, cocaine and diazepam at Noday’s.

Drug offense: A Youngstown man and woman were both issued a summons for possession of suspected marijuana in the parking lot at EconoLodge, 5431 Seventy-Six Drive.

Theft: Sixteen unauthorized charges were made to a debit account at Homes Savings and Loan, 6030 Mahoning Ave.

Assault: A man was assaulted at the TA Travel Center, 5400 Seventy-Six Drive.

Criminal damaging: Two tires were cut on a car in the parking lot at an apartment in the 60 block of Westminster Ave.

Burglary: A 2000 Dodge Intrepid four-door was taken with the keys from a home in the 2000 block of Birch Trace Drive and later recovered by Youngstown police.

Theft: An air filter was stolen from a vehicle in the parking lot of Deer Creek Apartments, in the 4000 block of Deer Creek.

Drug offense: Police charged an Austintown man with possession of marijuana at South Meridian Road and Elmwood Avenue, and two male juveniles from Austintown will be sent to the Martin P. Joyce Juvenile Justice Center after police found a crushed pill and a knife in their possession.

Weapons offense: A .40-caliber Springfield rifle was recovered from a vehicle at Noday’s, 3713 Oakwood Ave.

Aggravated menacing: A man threatened to shoot a woman at a home in the 5000 block of Yorktown Lane.

April 19

Criminal damaging: Paint scratches over an entire vehicle were reported at an apartment in the 1000 block of Paisley Street.

Criminal damaging: Lawn damage was reported at a home in the 3000 block of Elmwood Avenue.
