Art exhibit, dance show

YOUNGSTOWN — Entries will by accepted until Thursday for the 40th annual Art Exhibit and Dance Show at the Boys and Girls Club of Youngstown.

Events begin at 6 p.m. May 2 at the club, 2105 Oak Hill Ave.

The art competition is open to children ages 6 to 18 in the following media categories: drawing, collage, digital design, painting, photography and sculpture. There will be four age divisions in the competition: 6-8, 9-11, 12-14 and 15-18.

There is no entry fee, and all entries will be displayed during the show. Prizes will be awarded in each age division.

Entries can’t be larger than 3 feet and must include the artist’s name, age and school, and be accompanied by a signed entry form.
