Police seek suspect in Austintown robbery

AUSTINTOWN — Township police continue looking for the suspect in an armed robbery at Advance America earlier in the week.

Police have created a composite sketch using a description: Male, 6 feet 2 inches tall, about 200 pounds, wearing glasses, a dark hooded sweatshirt and baggy tan pants and armed with a handgun.

Police said the man entered the store on Mahoning Avenue just before 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, pointed a gun at an employee and demanded money. The cashier complied, and the suspect fled the scene with about $800 in cash.

No one was injured.
