Boardman pharmacy detects prescription fraud

BOARDMAN — A Daytona Beach, Fla., man is charged with illegal processing of drug documents and deception to obtain a dangerous drug, accused of presenting a fraudulent prescription at a pharmacy.

An employee of the Target pharmacy, Boardman-Poland Road, told police that Kyle Vaslowski, 27, presented two prescription slips at the pharmacy about 4:45 p.m. Wednesday. He couldn’t provide identification, and pharmacy employees thought the handwriting on the prescription slip appeared suspicious, a police report said. The slip was from Daytona Beach. The employee contacted the doctor whose name was on the slip, and the doctor said she hadn’t authorized any prescriptions for Vaslowski.

He was arrested, and police found three more blank prescription slips from the same doctor in his pants pocket.
