Youngstown Superstar finalists selected, to perform at Playhouse

YOUNGSTOWN — The finalists in the Youngstown Superstar competition have been selected, whittled down from the 200 contestants who entered.

The finals will be at the Youngstown Playhouse, in four age categories. Kindergarten through fourth grade and fifth through eighth grade will compete Oct. 17; high schoolers and adults will compete Oct. 18. Both events start at 7:30 p.m.

Judges and the audience will determine a grand prize winner in each category who will receive a recording package with Kontinuous Jams Music and 50 CDs of their music. The finals will be recorded for televised rebroadcast on several local stations. Tickets are $15 and $25 and are available at youngstownsuperstar.com or by calling (330) 788-9666.

The finalists are:

Kindergarten-fourth Grade: Chloe Hosteau, Elle Moesta, Isabella Moner, Jocelyn Holt, Julia Cooper and Kristen Henderson.

Fifth-Eighth Grade: Alexis Pinney, Anastasia Monrean, Ashley Freeman, Ashley Wengerd, Brittany Best, Callie Sullivan, Cristina Vaclav, Cathrn Kessler, Elizabeth Hess, Kellie Dunham, Lindsay Stevens, Madison Gulfo, Mark Oet, Monica Corley, Myra Corley, Natalie Naples, Olivia D’Andrea, Saige Eitman, Taylor Lott and Tia Karaplis.

High School: Adrienne Maro, Alexus Metzler, Ally Freel, Amanda Myhal, Ashley McKelvey, Brittany Burin, Cassie Simpson, Codie Higer, Darnesha Allen, DJ Collela, Erica Wehr, Erin Burke, Jacob Oet, Jaki Whitmore, Jon Gluckner, Katelyn Deladaraunte, Katie Mika, Lauren Jancay, Sarah Rucker and Tyler Oldham.
