MADE FOR A CHILD: Children of the early 1800s were considered small adults. Their clothes, furniture and even activities were planned with grown-ups in mind. This signed Windsor chair from about 1810 was made in New Jersey for a child. The seat is only 12 inches from the floor. Cowan’s Auctions of Cincinnati sold it for $425.
