Man arrested in connection with theft of NFL jersey

YOUNGSTOWN — James Blackmon, 51, of the 300 block of Florida Avenue was charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the theft of an NFL jersey. Police said the victim was walking on West Rayen Avenue near Fifth Avenue when two men got out of a vehicle. One pulled a gun and said he wanted the Number 25 Reggie Bush NFL jersey the victim was wearing and his wallet. The victim complied; the men drove away. The victim went to a local eatery and called police. With a description of the vehicle, police found it. After short chase, the occupants abandoned the vehicle and police apprehended Blackmon. The other man was not found.
