Sharon police seek 2 suspects in robbery

SHARON, Pa. — Two men robbed the Medicine Shoppe on East State Street, city police reported.

Police Chief Michael Menster said two men entered the store around 9:22 a.m. Wednesday. One of the men pointed a large handgun at the two female employees, he said.

The men demanded drugs, but did not steal any money, Menster said. The store is taking an inventory to see what drugs are missing, he said.

Menster said the robbers bound the employees’ arms and legs and fled the store, running to the parking lot of the Family Video Store. They got into a car parked there and fled south on White Avenue, he said.

The employees weren’t hurt.

The men are described as both about 5 feet 10 inches tall, with thin builds. One was wearing a maroon-hooded jacket, and the other was wearing a gray-hooded jacket.

The car they got into was a small, older aqua-colored sporty model, Menster said.
