Library Friends to meet; bookstore plans sale

Friends of the Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning County meetings follow: Poland, 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, program is “Mines” by Ann G. Harris, certified professional geologist; Boardman, 10 a.m. Nov. 10, program is “Illuminated Manuscripts” by Dr. Rebecca Barnhouse, Youngstown State University English professor; and Austintown, 10 a.m. Nov. 17, program is “Holiday Entertaining and Presentations” by Ellen Conrad, cooking school operator.

Friends of PLYMC Bookstore, in the lower level of the Poland Library, is having a sale during store hours Nov. 18-22. Everything except gifts and new books will be 50 percent off the regular price.
