YOUNGSTOWN — John McCain, the Republican presidential nominee, and ex-President Bill Clinton will be in the Mahoning Valley later this week. The times and locations of both rallies are not finalized.

McCain is beginning a 10-stop, two-day bus tour on Thursday throughout Ohio. McCain is expected to overnight at a hotel Thursday in the Youngstown area and participate in a public rally early Friday in Lisbon, according to national and local Republican officials.

Also, Clinton is to speak Thursday at a public rally on behalf of Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, at a location in the Youngstown area.

Obama’s campaign confirmed the public appearance saying Clinton will discuss the nominee’s plans to create jobs in Ohio, cut taxes for the middle class families and strengthen the economy.
