Auto supplier expects low third-quarter earnings
HOWLAND — Auto supplier Stoneridge said its third-quarter earnings will range from breaking even to a loss of 3 cents a share. The Howland-based company said earnings are down because sales to North American automakers were weaker than expected and it is recording charges associated with a previously announced restructuring program. Those charges will amount to about $4.8 million, or 16 cents a share, in the third quarter.
Earnings will be announced Nov. 7. Stoneridge produces almost all of its electrical and electronic products outside the Mahoning Valley.
