CAROLINE HERGENROTHER (R)

Age: 35

Address: 2925 Slater Road, Salem.

Family: Husband, Kurt Hergenrother; two children, Blaine, 7, and Molly, 4.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in family and consumer studies at Kent State University, and completed 100 hours at the Max Fisher College of Business at Ohio State University, a requirement accompanying 1,500 hours of internship to sit for the Board of Nursing Home Examiners.

Employment: Licensed nursing home administrator at Holander House, Salem, since 1997.

Priority: “It’s important that we have representatives who understand what it takes to create, retain and maintain jobs in our area.”

Wilson’s Republican opponent, Tim Ginther, did not respond to a Vindicator request for an interview or provide information for a profile about his candidacy. Linda Bolon, the Democratic Party incumbent in the 1st District race, did not provide personal information for the profile.
