Ceremony set Monday to show off Stambaugh Auditorium’s new parking lot

YOUNGSTOWN — Construction of a new parking lot at Stambaugh Auditorium on Fifth Avenue on the city’s North Side has been completed. A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Monday will mark its opening.

The new lot — the auditorium’s third — is on the west side of the building. It is paved, lined, lighted and fenced.

“The convenience of parking will hopefully increase attendance at events because our patrons will be able to park in a contained area instead of on the streets” near the facility, said Phil Cannatti, the auditorium’s executive director.
