Jurors say spare Davis from the death penalty

YOUNGSTOWN — Jurors in the death penalty phase of Michael A. Davis, 18, an arsonist who killed six people, have just returned a verdict in each of the six counts calling for life in prison with eligibility for parole after 30 years.

Davis was convicted last week of aggravated murder and aggravated arson. On Jan. 23, two women and four children died in their house after he ignited a couch on the front porch.
