NEW CASTLE, Pa. — Representatives of Columbia Gas’ annual blanket drive have announced they will be collecting blankets at the New Castle-Mohawk football game Friday. New blankets,which will be distributed to needy families in the area, will be collected at New Castle’s football stadium. Other collection sites in the area are the office of state Rep. Chris Sainato on South Mercer Street; the Lawrence County Tourist Promotion Agency; New Castle Public Library; New Castle Playhouse; Connerly’s Cleaners; United Way of Lawrence County and New Castle, Mohawk and Shenango high schools and the county vo-tech school.
