Niles department to offer flu clinics for kids
NILES — The Niles City Health Department is offering two flu clinics for children.
Parents can bring their children to the Niles Senior Center at 14 E. State St. for flu vaccinations Thursday and Nov. 6. Clinics will be held for individuals under age 18 between 2 and 4 p.m. on both days.
The cost is $3, and some may qualify for a free flu shot. Medicaid cards are accepted, and no appointment is necessary.
The health department recommends that children age 6 through 18 get an annual flu vaccination, which is shown to decrease transmission to adult household members. A parent must accompany the child getting the vaccination.
For any questions, call the health department at (330) 544-9000, ext. 3.
