Warren house fire likely started in kitchen

WARREN — Firefighters said something left unattended in a kitchen may be to blame for a house fire.

Just before 11:30 a.m. Saturday, the home at 334 Maryland St., caught fire, most likely due to a pot or pan left unattended on the stove.

Firefighters said all of the occupants were out safely by the time they arrived.

They managed to rescue the family’s several cats without incident.

No damage estimate was available.
